Two large outdoor VuePix Infiled digital billboards have been installed in Parnell, an inner Auckland City Suburb known for its upscale boutiques, galleries and trendy dining.
The LED screens were to be attached to the façade of New Zealand’s first 6-star green rated building at 100 Parnell Road, so the requirements were very specific.
Our New Zealand team worked closely with the team at MacFarlane Murray and their engineers to provide detailed information, specifications and drawings. Macfarlane Murray together with Patterson’s Architects designed a custom solution, which complements the structure of the building and the high-end environment.
VuePix Infiled AR series panels were selected to be the best fit for this project, thanks to their thin & lightweight profile. Both LED screens are 6 meters high and 3 meters wide and they have been attached to the façade of the building by a custom design frame, creating seamless digital platforms in a sleek form factor.

The high-performance outdoor panels of 5.9mm pixel pitch and brightness of 5,000nits deliver excellent visuals in any light conditions. Both screens are facing the road, so it was crucial to include automatic brightness sensors, which help to adjust the brightness of each screen depending on the ambient light and time of the day, and also in compliance with the local council regulations.
The installation process managed by MacFarlane Murray was very smooth, their team had worked with VuePix Infiled technology many times before and they trust the expertise and technical support provided by our local NZ team.
Over half a million pixels in each screen are controlled by the NovaStar MCTRL 600 Processor. Both digital billboards feature an advanced Display Monitoring System, allowing live monitoring of the screens key vital working conditions and functionality remotely from anywhere in the world.
The content for both digital billboards is managed by MediaWorks NZ, currently playing both commercials as well as promoting businesses within the complex.
