Australia’s first Topgolf attraction has just opened its brand new premier entertainment facility on the Gold Coast! All of Queensland’s serious swingers are set to join the fun and first class golf experience at this premium $35 million entertainment venue.
Topgolf’s first joint venture outside of the United States and United Kingdom is nestled next to the Warner Bros. Movie World as the latest addition to Village Roadshow’s theme park precinct.
The ULA Group has been appointed to create and supply two LED digital super screens for this premier complex.
The ULA Group has a long term relationship with Village Roadshow, supplying entertainment lighting, LED screens and customised LED signage, architectural lighting and atmospherical effects for over a decade. After a recent completion of a customised ‘Joker Face’ LED sign for the newly opened DC Rivals HyperCoaster, our projects team moved on to another challenge in the golf spheres!
The ULA Group team has supplied and installed two VuePix super screens for the Topgolf complex.
Each of them is over 14 meters long and 4 meters high.
VUEPIX LED SUPER SCREENS
The ULA Group team has supplied and installed two VuePix super screens for the Topgolf complex. Each of them is over 14 meters long and 4 meters high, installed off the tilt slab wall within the golfing area, allowing them to be viewed past the large poles supporting the nets.
Featuring VuePix B series cabinets, which were developed specifically for outdoor branding and digital advertising markets, the screens provide an excellent brightness of over 8,000 nits, wide viewing angle and great contrast levels. The panels are robust and durable, prepared to withstand harsh environment factors such as direct UV rays, varying temperatures, severe weather conditions and constant vibrations.
The LED panels feature automatic brightness sensors, assuring the perfect viewing experience in any light condition, even during the direct sunlight.
The screens are angled off the wall to allow for better viewing for the Topgolf patrons and are used for Topgolf advertising and themed music videos. The content is managed by RGBlink X2 video processor / switcher and Nova 660 sender.

The Topgolf Gold Coast is the first of a number of Topgolf destinations that Village Roadshow hopes to open in an exclusive partnership with the USA-based business.
Players at Topgolf aim microchipped balls at a number of giant circular targets on the outfield to score points and measure distance, making it a vastly different experience from your average driving range.
While the concept is hugely appealing to golfers, the venue has an emphasis on upscale food and drinks, great music, socialising and an unforgettable experience with friends and family.
